My sentiments exactly. But contrary to your last statement, it's not GMA pulling all the drama, it's the rallyists.

If I recall correctly, we managed to decrease the exchange rate a great deal recently. Economically, we seem to be doing good.

And on this deviation... While I respect people's opinions, the reasoning for it doesn't seem sound to me at all. So you want to oust GMA on the grounds of her proclamation of state of emergency? It was proclaimed because of the trouble's the rallyists have caused, and the constant threats of insurgency. These things are beyond her, or anyone else's control for that matter.

Some of the rallyist go to the scene para maTV... some of them caught on camera holding cups of Starbucks grande... and I thought they were destitute. It's all so hilarious!

una, hindi totoong maayos na ang buhay ng mga pilipino. oo, lumakas ang pagpalo ng piso nitong mga nakaraang araw. pero tingnan mo nga kung magkano ang isang pakete ng noodles? ang isang lata ng sardinas? ito ba ang tinatawag nating maayos na pamumuhay? we are being pilfered by our government!

ikalawa, ang mga nagaganap na rally ngayon ay confluence ng iba't ibang sektor sa lipunan. nariyan ang mga peti-burgis at elitistang sektor ('yang mga nagsa-starbucks, kung totoo man ang ulat na iyan). nariyan din ang mga mahihirap at mass-based organizations. sa isang laban para mapatalsik ang isang kaaway, you need the broadest alliance possible.

and above all these, hindi ba natin nararamdaman ang pagkitil sa mga batayang karapatan ng tao? sans the presence of rallies and allied sectors, hindi ba nagpapatupad si gloria ng mga mekanismong hindi lang reminiscent, kundi talagang nagsasalamin ng isang estado ng martial rule?

what we have is a monster of a fascist president who holds on to the last fibers of her power. she is so desperate, and she has her brood of cabinet secretaries (who jump from one department to other) who justify all these patent oppression.

really? is the economy really doing good? think again.

kung gumaganda ekonomiya natin, wala sanang mga tao ang namatay sa ultra stampede. kung maganda ang ekonomiya natin, iilan na lang dapat ang nagtutulak ng kariton sa kalye. and don't blame people for not striving to be better. yan kasi ang hilig na banat ng mga nasa maayos na kalagayang walang alam.

tungkol naman sa deviation, iilan lang naman ito sa mga rason kung bakit dapat bumaba na sa pwesto si GMA. nanjan ang crisis of legitimacy na alam naman ng lahat. nariyan din ang sangkatutak na problema sa edukasyon na hindi mabigyan-bigyan ng pansin. nariyan pa ang problema sa lupa, sa budget, at sa marami pang ibang ayoko nang dukdukin pa kung hindi ka lang naman din maniniwala.

anyway, ganyan naman talaga. kung ang isang tao ay kontento na sa buhay na kanyang kinalalagyan, bakit pa nga ba cya magrereklamo? ika nga, sayang lang ang laway.
